The Heart of the Club: Our Youth Community

At RSC Saudi West, the senior squad may grab the headlines, but the beating heart of the club lies in its youth community. Hundreds of young players, supported by dedicated coaches, volunteers, and families, gather at the club each week — not just to play sport, but to grow, connect, and belong.

Why Youth Development Matters

Investing in young athletes is one of the most impactful things a community sports club can do. Beyond developing athletic ability, structured youth sport:

  • Builds discipline, resilience, and teamwork skills that carry into all areas of life
  • Creates lasting friendships and social networks within the community
  • Provides a safe, positive environment for young people during formative years
  • Establishes a pipeline of talent that sustains the club long into the future

The RSC Saudi West Academy Structure

The club's youth program is organized into clear age-appropriate groups, each with tailored coaching and development goals:

Age Group Focus Training Days
U8 – U10 Fun, fundamentals, confidence Saturday
U11 – U14 Skill development, positional play Tuesday & Saturday
U15 – U17 Tactical awareness, competition prep Tuesday & Thursday

Volunteer Coaches: The Unsung Heroes

RSC Saudi West's youth program is made possible by a group of volunteer coaches who give their time, knowledge, and energy every week. Many are former players themselves, now giving back to the sport and community that shaped them.

"Seeing a young player master a new skill or score their first goal — there's nothing quite like it. This club gave a lot to me, and it feels right to pass that on to the next generation," said one of the club's long-serving youth coaches.

How to Get Involved

RSC Saudi West welcomes new young players throughout the season. Whether your child is picking up a ball for the first time or has been playing for years, there is a place for them here. To register your child or enquire about volunteering as a coach or helper, please visit our contact page or come to the club during any training session.

Together, we are building a club — and a community — to be proud of for generations to come.
